Fundraising In aid of the Born Free Foundation Charity No 1070906
For those who have very kindly donated so far, a huge thank you from me, for those who wish to donate, my just giving link is posted above and I would be very grateful indeed.
Here is a YouTube link for you to view https://youtu.be/bLk5Ly8cKzo It’s a short retrospective of what Born Free achieved in 2022 and is inspirational to see what is made possible by passionate and caring individuals such as yourselves by donating and myself for taking action with this challenge
.
Since my last blog I have continued to step up my training by increasing planned mileages and searching for hill climbs too. The weather has not been good, however, this has not necessarily been a bad thing with the strong winds being like my training partner, especially when against me. Over the last few weekends I have cycled 56, 60, 66 & 83 mile routes, exploring Nottinghamshire as well as Lincolnshire.
On Good Friday I will be cycling 100 miles away from the house, which takes me into Oxfordshire (near Banbury), I am booked into a village pub B&B for the night, to then cycle the 100 miles back home on Saturday, back to back long rides, which I will be doing for 10 days solid during the challenge.
In mid April, I will be in the Scottish Highlands on holiday, so will have the opportunity to get some real serious hill work in (or should I say mountain work). A good test anyway.
So all in all, I feel that I have prepared well so far, with only 8 weeks to go, I think I will soon be ready for the challenge.
Don't forget, you will all be able to follow me and view my blogs on a daily basis during the 10 day challenge, to keep you all up to date on my progress, highs and lows. But in the main on what we are achieving together, in support of The Born Free Foundation.
Please donate if you are able, I will be most grateful, thanks all.
